Dr. Rita Lesczynski - Veterinarian

Dr. Lesczynski was born and raised on a dairy farm in Northern Wisconsin. Following high school, she attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison where she achieved her undergraduate. Dr. Lesczynski then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Iowa State University in 1975. She joined the Allgood Animal Hospital team in June of 1975. Some of her favorite activities include softball, racquetball and hiking. She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Iowa Veterinary Medical Association, and American Animal Hospital Association. She now shares her home with multiple cats and wildlife.

Dr. Brooke Smith - Veterinarian

Dr. Smith has been with the practice since 2005. She was raised in New London, leaving shortly after high school to attend Iowa State to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine. Upon graduation in 2005, she moved to Burlington and began working at Allgood Animal Hospital. Her three children keep her busy when she is not at the hospital. She has several pets at home, including cats, several smaller pets, fish, and a large flock of chickens. In her spare time, she enjoys Hiking, camping, riding her motorcycle, hanging out with her chickens, and doing craft projects, especially crochet.

Dr. Ruth Schinstock - Veterinarian

Dr. Schinstock was born and raised on a family farm south of Mt. Pleasant, IA. She grew up raising various livestock, and especially enjoyed the Holstein bucket calves and lambs. After graduating from Marquette Catholic High School, she attended Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant quadruple majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Life Science, and Environmental Health. She then attended Iowa State University to obtain her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2010. Dr. Schinstock spent time working in a small animal clinic in Nebraska before returning to southeast Iowa. She began her career with Allgood Animal Hospital in December 2013. She currently resides in Salem, IA with her children and husband. She is a member of the Iowa Veterinary Medical Association and American Veterinary Medical Association.

Cheryl Ireland - Office Manager

Cheryl is our office manager. She began her career with Allgood Animal Hospital in 1988. A lot has changed since she started but she feels that people love their pets more than ever. Cheryl grew up in the “Suburbs” of Sawyer, Iowa. She and her husband, Jerry, raised two sons, Monte and Andy. Both are married and each has children – giving Cheryl four grandchildren. When not at the office, Cheryl and Jerry love to go to St. Louis Cardinal and St. Louis Blues games, walking their dog, Gillie, and eating at great restaurants.

Melissa Rosenberg - Receptionist

Melissa started working at Allgood's in 2001. She is a Burlington native and attended Southeastern Community College. While being a boy mom keeps her busy, she loves to knit, crochet, pottery work, and walking in her free time.

Jennifer Cagle - Receptionist

Jennifer joined the Allgood team in January of 2023. She has a B.S. in Biology from Northern Illinois University. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, baking, gardening, and running. Jennifer also loves spending time with her husband, daughter, and their three cats (Petra, Hans, and Liesel.) Jennifer has done many exciting things throughout her life, but one fun fact is that she lived in Germany for 3 years and speaks German!

Colleen Kelly - Receptionist

Colleen started working at Allgood’s in 2016. She’s a graduate of Notre Dame High School and Southeastern Community College. In her free time she enjoys swimming, eating Mexican food, ghost hunting, and listening to her favorite artists, Prince and Michael Jackson. She resides in Burlington with her pug named Beep.

Tina Linden - Veterinary Assistant

Tina is one of our veterinary assistants as well as a farm girl. She was born and raised on a farm in Sperry, Iowa where they have paint horses, sheep, and Boer goats. She is a graduate of Mediapolis High School. Today, she is married to Jeff and lives next door to the farm where she grew up. She continues to raise registered paint horses and shows them locally. She has several cats and dogs.

Wendy Snipes - Veterinary Assistant

Wendy has a B.S. in Animal Ecology from Iowa State University and is currently pursuing her Veterinary Technician Certification from Penn Foster College. She started working for Allgood's in 2019 as a kennel attendant. In May of 2021, Wendy officially switched to the veterinary assistant position. When she is not working with animals, she is still spending time with them as she lives with a handful of cats, dogs, and a bearded dragon. In her free time, she enjoys playing video games and a variety of instruments.

Kylee Lohmann - Veterinary Assistant

Kylee started working as a kennel assistant in March of 2021, and since then has taken a position as a veterinary assistant. She is currently working towards an Animal Science Degree with a pre-vet option. Kylee enjoys playing with her puppy, Callie, and going to Iowa State football games.

Maycee Featheringill - Veterinary Assistant

Maycee attended Southeastern Community College, where she received an Associate of Arts and Science degree. In May of 2022, she started working at Allgood Animal Hospital. She enjoys working with the animals at Allgoods and practicing her grooming skills. When she is not working, she likes spending time with family, friends, and pets.
